چکیده مقاله:

Acrylate epoxidized soybean oil has showed great promise in biological applications, includingtissue engineering. However, this material has limited mechanical strength and a rapidbiodegradation rate, limiting its potential to replicate and support a variety of hard tissues, including bone. Furthermore, one of its downsides is the unique heat treatment procedure used withpoly(glycerol-co-diacid). To circumvent these constraints, polyethylene glycol fragments are firstcross-linked with the main PGAz branch, yielding UV-curable PGAz-g-GMA (PGAG) resin. Then, polyethylene glycol, nanohydroxyapatite, and Cloisite Na+ nano clay are combined to createacrylate-polyethylene glycol epoxidized soybean oil nanocomposites that are cross-linked with lightand have effective qualities for mimicking various hard tissues. Our findings indicate that allnanocomposites have a semi-crystalline structure with β-phase polyethylene glycol agent. Thesescaffolds have maximal tensile strength and elongation at break points of ۱۵-۲۴ MPa, ۱۳-۱۵ MPa,and ۵۰-۶۵%, respectively, which fulfill the criteria of bone spongy tissue support. The addition ofnanofillers increases the hydrophilic characteristic of the scaffolds while also marginallyaccelerating biodegradation. In addition, it demonstrates that these scaffolds have no substantialcytotoxicity in vitro. Our results indicate that the acrylate-polyethylene glycol epoxidized soybeanoil combination and its nanocomposites might be a promising choice for hard tissues, particularlyspongy bone tissues.
