چکیده مقاله:

Tourism in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea regions, including the coastal city of Chabahar are experiencing a rapid due to their rich marine biodiversity, historical sites, and cultural heritage. However, this surge in tourism has led to significant environmental hazards, including coastal degradation, water pollution, overfishing, and the destruction of critical ecosystems such as coral reefs and mangrove forests. This paper reviews the environmental challenges associated with tourism in these regions, with a specific focus on Chabahar, a key port city in Iran located on the Oman Sea. Drawing upon data from governmental reports, local studies, and international organizations, the paper also proposes sustainable tourism strategies aimed at minimizing environmental damage while supporting economic growth. The findings highlight the need for integrated policies, community involvement, and eco-friendly practices to ensure long-term sustainability.
