چکیده مقاله:

Small-scale non-destructive testing is used to examine defects with dimensions up to ۱۰۰ μm, to ensure the structure of critical components and their performance in critical applications to help ensure sustainable performance by extending equipment life and reusing parts during minor repair operations. Concepts such as creep, fatigue, thermal cycling and environmental damage or any combination of these are investigated under different loading conditions and using non-destructive testing techniques to identify and characterize the reliability of small-scale defects in engineering materials. High detection capability and increased accuracy and resolution are provided by computer-coupled tomography. Non-destructive testing of pressure vessels for compressed air and evaluation and analysis of defects were investigated regarding integrity checks on welded joints as the most critical points in pressure vessels. Cylindrical air storage vessels made of thick steel were investigated. For this purpose, in this study, conventional NDT methods such as UT and radiography were used, which provided valuable data for evaluating the integrity of the structure based on the identification of fundamental defects in welded joints. Subsequently, several unacceptable defects were examined and compared by conventional UT.
