چکیده مقاله:
Optimizing breakwaters as one of the most basic marine structures, in order to increase stability and reduce costs, has always been of special importance. This article examines the use of genetic algorithm (GA) as one of the artificial intelligence methods to optimize the design of breakwaters. In this method, by modeling the breakwater structure and defining the design parameters such as the weight of the blocks, the slope of the structure and the type of materials, the genetic algorithm is used to find the best combination of these parameters in order to achieve maximum stability and reduce costs. The objective function used in this research is defined based on mathematical relationships related to Hudson's stability and construction costs, and multi-objective optimization between structure stability and cost has been done. In genetic algorithm, various steps including initial population generation, selection, combination and mutation are used to find the optimal solution. This article also shows how the optimization process can be analyzed and evaluated using different visualization methods, including convergence diagram, Pareto front and gene evolution diagram. The obtained results indicate a significant improvement in the stability of the structure and a reduction in costs compared to traditional design methods. The use of artificial intelligence and especially the genetic algorithm provides a powerful tool for engineers in the optimal design of marine structures and improves the efficiency of defense systems against waves.
