An Overview on Challenges of Sustainable Building Renovation

This study develops a holistic sustainability framework for building renovation projects, addressing the current lack of comprehensive sustainability considerations. A multi-dimensional approach is adopted, combining various research methods to create a framework with new categories, criteria, and indicators for decision-making support. The research also identifies gaps and proposes new topics, focusing on sustainable project management, productivity enhancement, social sustainability, and comprehensive evaluation methods. The findings lay the groundwork for tailored Decision Support Systems and assessment tools in building renovation contexts.
