Staff recruitment and retention in Iranian treatment centers, particularly in mental health and addiction recovery facilities, present persistent challenges due to workforce shortages, high turnover rates, economic constraints, and professional migration. Traditional hiring methods fail to meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals, necessitating innovative approaches. This study explores how technology-driven solutions—such as AI-powered recruitment systems, predictive analytics for workforce retention, digital onboarding platforms, and telehealth integration—can enhance hiring efficiency and employee retention in Iranian treatment centers. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, including secondary data analysis, case studies, and interviews with healthcare HR managers to assess the applicability of digital solutions in Iran’s unique healthcare landscape. Findings indicate that AI-based hiring platforms significantly reduce time-to-hire and improve candidate-job alignment, while digital onboarding and training platforms enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Predictive analytics prove effective in identifying at-risk employees and implementing early interventions to prevent resignations. Furthermore, telehealth and hybrid work models contribute to improved job satisfaction and lower burnout rates among mental health professionals.Despite the potential benefits, technological adoption in Iran’s treatment centers faces barriers such as financial limitations, regulatory challenges, and resistance to change. However, with strategic investments in HR technology, tailored digital transformation policies, and workforce training, treatment centers can mitigate staff shortages and improve long-term workforce stability. This study provides a framework for leveraging technology in healthcare workforce management, offering practical recommendations to optimize recruitment and retention strategies in Iranian treatment centers.
