چکیده :
Abstract:
This research review explores the phonological differences between Persian and English languages, examining their theoretical foundations, practical applications, and implications. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the distinct features in the sound systems of these two languages, including segmental (vowels and consonants) and suprasegmental (stress, intonation) elements. The primary objectives of this research are to identify and explicate the key phonological differences between Persian and English, contribute to the broader field of contrastive linguistics, and offer practical insights for language teaching and learning. The significance of this study lies in its potential to enhance the understanding of both Persian and English phonology, as well as the relationships between these two linguistic systems. The review addresses several research questions, including the major phonological differences, the implications for language learners, the applications in improving teaching methodologies and materials, and the extent to which these differences reflect broader typological patterns. By addressing these questions, the research aims to provide a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the phonological relationships between Persian and English.
