In this paper, the Small Punch Test (SPT) is employed for in-service determination of the yield strength of ۳۰۴SS that has experienced tension-tension cyclic axial loading. The data has been collected from both the conventional tension test and SPT over virgin and fatigue affected ۳۰۴SS specimens. It is first shown that the yield strength of the virgin material is proportional in conventional tension test and SPT. Moreover, such linear relationship is verified to be applicable for the fatigue affected material as well and with the same coefficient. Subsequently, the SPT is proposed as a means of in-service determination of the yield strength of the components experiencing cyclic axial loading. The coefficient used for this purpose should be obtained from virgin material.
