“On Iran’s Past” Review and analysis of a work

In ۲۰۱۳, the Islamic World Citation Database (ISC)۳ identified both Professor Emeritus of the Department of Early Culture and Languages ​​at the University of Tehran Zhale Amouzgar, as well as two other members of the academic staff of the University of Tehran (Mohammad Ali Besharat and Akbar Komijani) as the three most prestigious Iranian scientists in the field of social sciences.۴ Of the three, two conduct research in the fields of psychology (Mohammad Ali Besharat) and economics (Akbar Komijani), while only Zhale Amouzgar is active in the field of Iranian studies. In fact, from the perspective of Iranian studies as well as related and sub-divided disciplines (ancient languages ​​and culture of Iran, Iranian archaeology, Persian literature, Iranian history, Iranian art history, ...) Amouzgar is considered Iran's most influential scientist.
