The paradox of monotheism

Henry Corbin (۱۹۰۳-۱۹۷۸), probably the most important pioneer in the study of Persian spiritual tradition in the ۲۰th century, has still not received the attention he deserves in the German-speaking world. This is all the more unfortunate because Corbin's thinking - which, especially in its early phase, owed significant and lasting impulses to the German philosophy and theology tradition - is able to open up very fruitful perspectives and offer untapped potential, especially for a German-Iranian dialogue. There is still only one book by the Frenchman available in German - which has long been out of print - the work The Emerald Vision: The Light Man in Persian Sufism, translated by Annemarie Schimmel in ۱۹۸۹. After the beginning of the ۹۰s in Spektrum Iran
