The aim of the present study is to determine the role of coping strategies as a mediator factor in the relationship between stressful events and resilience among university students.Methods: Being of a basic-correlation kind, the population of this research is the whole students of a university in the academic year of ۲۰۱۷-۲۰۱۸. To this end, ۳۷۳ students were selected based on Morgan’s table and multi-stage cluster sampling. The required data was gathered through the resilience questionnaire (CD-RSC), coping strategies questionnaire (CISS), and stressful events questionnaire (LEQ-۱۲). In order to explore the research hypotheses, correlation, path analysis, and simultaneous multiple regression were recruited.Results: According to the obtained results, there is a negative relationship between stressful events and resilience (p < ۰.۰۱), and a positive relationship between problem-oriented strategy and resilience (p < ۰.۰۱). , there is a negative relationship between emotion oriented strategy and resilience (p < ۰.۰۱), between avoidance strategy and resilience there is a negative relationship (p < ۰.۰۱), between strategy Problem-oriented and stressful events have a negative relationship (p<۰.۰۱), positive relationship between emotion-oriented strategy and stressful events (p<۰.۰۱) and between avoidance strategy and stressful events have a positive relationship (p<۰.۰۱).Conclusions: According to the results, teaching coping strategies can lead to increased resilience.
