چکیده مقاله:

IntroductionBipolar disorder is a mental disorder characterized by severe changes in mood and energy that can profoundly impact a person's life. The disorder includes periods of mania and depression, each of which can affect a person's quality of life. A better understanding of this disorder and its symptoms can help identify and manage it more effectively.Research MethodsThis study employed a descriptive-analytical method and included ۱۵۰ patients referred to the psychiatry and psychology departments of Zanjan. The samples were selected conveniently based on specific criteria and included individuals who had been definitively diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The collected data were analyzed using correlational methods.FindingsThe findings indicated a positive and significant correlation between the bipolar variable and suicidal ideation. Additionally, the bipolar variable was negatively correlated with self-efficacy and emotion regulation, while suicidal ideation also showed a negative relationship with self-efficacy and emotion regulation. Finally, self-efficacy had a negative correlation with emotion regulation. All these relationships were significant at the ۰.۰۵ level (P <۰.۰۵).ConclusionThe results of this study indicate that self-efficacy and emotion regulation can play an important role in the severity of bipolar disorder symptoms and suicidal ideation. Understanding these relationships can help improve treatment methods and support patients, ultimately increasing their quality of life. Therefore, it is essential to pay attention to these variables in treatment programs.
