چکیده مقاله:
This study investigates the impact of various types of AI-assisted feedback on the motivation and speaking skills of adult English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. A total of ۴۰ participants, who had successfully completed a fundamental English language course, were randomly assigned to one of four groups, each receiving a distinct type of feedback: scores, oral feedback, written feedback, or a combination of both. To measure motivation levels, participants completed a Motivation questionnaire (Ahmed et al., ۲۰۱۵) before and after a ۱۲-session intervention. Data analysis utilized a one-way ANOVA to determine the significance of differences in motivation levels across groups. Results indicated a significant difference in motivation levels post-intervention (sig = ۰.۰۰۷), with the group receiving combined feedback demonstrating the highest increase in motivation. In contrast, the control group showed minimal changes. These findings suggest that diverse forms of AI-assisted feedback can effectively enhance EFL learners' motivation, thereby improving their speaking proficiency. The implications of this research highlight the potential of integrating AI technology into language education to foster greater learner engagement and success.
