چکیده مقاله:
The study offers a comparative analysis of nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes concerning the elimination of tetracycline (TC) from aqueous solutions. TC, a widely utilized antibiotic, presents substantial environmental and health hazards due to its persistence in water systems. The primary objective was to assess the removal efficacy of both membrane types based on rejection rates, permeate flux, and flux recovery ratios. Experimental data revealed that NF membranes demonstrated superior TC rejection rates, achieving up to ۹۴% removal efficiency, while UF membranes achieved only approximately ۱۸.۸۱% rejection. Outstandingly, the permeate flux of NF was approximately ۰.۵۱ LMH, significantly lower than that of UF (۲۳.۸۶ LMH). The flux recovery ratio for NF membranes notably exceeded that of UF membranes, indicating enhanced resistance to fouling and more effective cleaning potential. The findings suggest that NF membranes are the preferred choice for effectively eliminating TC from water, thereby improving water quality and sustainability in chemical engineering practices.
