چکیده مقاله:
Auxetic structures due to their unique properties have studied by a lot of researchers in last decades. These structures have zero or negative Poisson's ratio under loading. Different topologies have been proposed by researchers to obtain their better performance. Chiral-based topologies are important category of the auxetic structures. In chiral-based topologies, various geometrical patterns such as square, hexagonal, and triangular are connected using simple links. In the current research, it was tried to develop in a novel chiral-based topology for improving their properties. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) filament was provided to manufacture the specimens using ۳D printing FDM technology. The ۳D printed chiral-based structures made of ABS polymer were tested under in-plane compression loading states. It was displayed that the novel chiral-based topology, the weight of structure is decreased remarkably. The empirical results demonstrated that by changing the topology of conventional chiral-based structures, their specific mechanical properties can be improved.
