چکیده مقاله:

The nacelle cover is one of the major composite parts of the wind turbines. Besides covering the nacelle components, the nacelle cover should withstand the surrounding loads. The most significant sources of loads acting on the nacelle cover are wind and fall-protecting system. International standards and guidelines in the wind turbine manufacturing industry explain that a fall protection system should sustain at least ۲۲ kN static load in every direction. Since fall protection system supports should be inserted in the composite structure, suitable structural strength criteria should be considered during the design process. Utilizing eyebolts and unirail are two methods of implanting fall-protecting systems in the nacelle cover of the MAPNA ۲.۵ MW wind turbine. Employing the numerical analysis based on experimental tests, the composite strength in both methods has been analyzed and compared. In order to investigate these criteria in numerical analysis, ANSYS ACP module - Pre & Post - has been used. This composite structure is composed of glass fiber, plywood, foam, and epoxy resin. Mechanical properties of single-layer fiberglass composite, plywood and foam have been extracted from the experimental tests. This study was conducted during the wind turbine structure’s optimization project at MAPNA PARS.
