چکیده مقاله:

Nowadays, obesity is considered one of the major health issues and cardiovascular diseases worldwide. A major consequence of obesity and cardiovascular diseases is the prevalence of type ۲ diabetes. Diabetes is one of the most common non-communicable diseases and has the highest prevalence among metabolic diseases globally. Diabetic patients are more likely to experience microvascular and macrovascular complications compared to non-diabetics. Public awareness of cardiovascular risk factors leads to the adoption of preventive behaviors, reducing the incidence of disease and healthcare costs. Along with lifestyle modification, early diagnosis, and subsequent drug and insulin therapies are strong strategies against diabetes. The aim of this article is to review the types of diabetes and examine the cardiovascular complications, prevention, and treatment that contribute to the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) and its significant effects on heart morphology
