Identifying obstacles and challenges facing sports federations in order to win international hosting points

The purpose of this research was to identify the obstacles and challenges faced by sports federations in order to win international hosting points. The statistical population of the research includes; All presidents, general secretary, vice president, board members, executive directors, consultants and experts of bodybuilding, wrestling, swimming, diving, water polo, lifeguard, volleyball and judo federations were in ۲۰۲۴, which due to the limited size of the society, in an exemplary way. ۱۱۴ people were selected from all the available numbers. The data collection tool included a questionnaire on the obstacles to hosting major international sports events in Iran. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (structural equation tests) were used. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that all the items have coefficients above ۰.۴ and therefore all the items and obstacles play a role in sports federations to earn international hosting points. In the meantime, out of the entire questionnaire and obstacles, the obstacle of "few laws and unclear system in the field of sports financial sponsors" is the legal and legal obstacle with the highest coefficient and role, followed by the obstacles of "weakness in the appropriate sports marketing system in the country". Limitations in providing services to foreign participants and spectators", "little knowledge of the world's high-ranking officials about Iran's situation" and "little support from managers and senior officials of the country (government, parliament, etc.) in order to host the ceremony" in the first five ranks of obstacles. are located.
