چکیده مقاله:

The study meticulously examines the merits of earthen construction, underlining its insignificant environmental impacts and the ease of access to raw materials. Modern Earth-sheltered housing, designed with passive principles, significantly influences local microclimates and surrounding ecosystems. These structures utilize natural materials and thermal mass to enhance energy efficiency, reduce urban heat effects, and promote ecological balance. This research investigates passive adaptation methodologies aimed at mitigating the repercussions of global warming on residential structures, emphasizing the prioritization of such strategies in pursuit of ecological sustainability. The selected passive approach involves the utilization of thermal mass for cooling purposes, achieved through the implementation of earth-sheltered walls that are in direct contact with the terrestrial environment. Consequently, the objective of this research is to examine contemporary earth-sheltered residences and to elucidate the advantages associated with their subterranean positioning.
