FRP plates offer the advantage of lightweight construction, yet their susceptibility to buckling poses a challenge. By incorporating FRP laminates with optimized stiffness, achieved through variable stiffness techniques, this issue can be effectively addressed, enhancing performance under various loading conditions while adhering to specified constraints. The development of functional and efficient variable stiffness laminates ensures compatibility with fabrication requirements.This study introduces a closed-form solution as a novel approach to optimize fiber orientation angles to mitigate buckling. Utilizing Mathematica software, the formulation is solved and results validated against existing literature. Unlike traditional gradient-based optimization methods, this approach bypasses time-consuming processes like convergence and sensitivity studies. Additionally, it offers a promising alternative to Finite Element Method (FEM) for precise determination of fiber angles and buckling loads.
