Aim: This current study was conducted to determine the relationship between patient safetyculture and Nursing Process Implementation Competence among Nurses working in medicaltraining centers of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences in ۲۰۲۳.Background: The nursing process encompasses a comprehensive framework of interconnectedand dynamic care activities. Patient safety culture is among the most influential factors inensuring patient safety.Design: This is a correlational survey study.Methods: The study included ۲۶۷ nurses randomly selected to work in five educational hospitalsin Ardebil, Northwestern Iran, in ۲۰۲۳. The survey included a demographic information question,Patient Safety Culture (HSOPS), and Competency of Nursing Process questionnaire. The collecteddata were analyzed using descriptive statistics, comparisons, reliability and normality tests,correlation, and regression analysis.Results: Participating nurses got average scores from patient safety culture and competence innursing process implementation. There was a significant positive correlation between patientsafety culture and competence in nursing process implementation (r = ۰.۲۶, P = ۰.۰۰۱). The simplelinear regression model indicated that the " Hospital and transitions " and " Teamwork within Units" domains were stronger predictors of nursing process implementation competence than othervariables.Conclusions: Nurses in the present study reported an average patient safety culture andcompetence in nursing process implementation. The results of this study can contribute to raisingawareness among healthcare administrators about the needs and expectations of nurses, leading toan improvement in the quality of nursing care.
