چکیده مقاله:

Cervical cancer (CC) is the fourth most common cancer among women worldwide. Currently, there are ۵ types of conventional standard treatment for CC, which include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. Despite the continuous progress made in conventional CC treatments, some issues, such as resistant cancer cells, recurrence, and metastasis, have not been resolved. Aggressive secondary metastasis caused by p۵۳ gene mutation and G۰ arrest is one of these complications. The results of studies show that photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a light-based and non-conventional method for solid tumors that has advantages over standard treatments. This method has led to the recovery of ۹۵% of patients by activating more than one apoptotic pathway and reducing recovery time and side effects. It also works successfully in cases where Neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) and surgery are not possible. In addition to soothing effects, Cannabinoids (CBD) also have anticancer activity and do not cause the usual side effects of chemotherapy. Therefore, it may be an additional therapeutic tool for the treatment of CC. However, more in vivo studies are needed to clarify the exact effect of CBD on CC. CBD and PDT are new treatments that can activate specific immune responses, treat secondary CC, reduce side effects, and preserve fertility. PDT has proven that it can work alone or in combination with conventional treatments as an effective and safe treatment with fewer side effects. However, this method requires special devices that are usually not available in the clinical environment and require support. Despite the continuous progress made in conventional CC treatments, some issues, such as resistant cancer cells, recurrence, and metastasis, have not been resolved. Aggressive secondary metastasis caused by p۵۳ gene mutation and G۰ arrest is one of these complications. Therefore, it is necessary to use new treatments to eliminate and reduce the side effects of treatment.
