چکیده مقاله:

This study explores the effects of temperature and urea concentration on the morphology and phase composition of cobalt-based electrocatalysts supported on carbon cloth, designed to improve hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) performance. The urea-to-cobalt ratios and synthesis temperatures were varied to optimize the formation of cobalt disulfide (CoS۲) and cobalt carbonate (CoCO۳) phases using hydrothermal synthesis. The analysis revealed higher temperatures favor the sulfide phase, while increased urea concentration promotes the carbonate phase. The findings of this study indicate an optimal urea/cobalt ratio of ۵.۵ at ۱۶۰°C, achieving smaller particles with enhanced HER efficiency, advancing potential pathways for sustainable hydrogen production.
