چکیده مقاله:

Osteoporosis is a widespread skeletal disease among elderly people, characterized by reduced bone density and it usually remains unnoticed until a fracture occurs in advanced stages of the disease. Therefore, early diagnosis of osteoporosis is crucial in order to prevent its complications including fragile fractures, chronic back pain and postural changes. Wearable bone density sensors provide precise and real-time assessment of bone health. Utilizing quantitative ultrasound (QUA) technology together with wearable sensors offer a promising alternative in comparison to older bone density diagnosis techniques. In this paper, we will review the different recently developed wearable sensors for osteoporosis diagnosis.
