Integrating green building materials and renewable energy systems

Contrary to popular belief, the word architecture does not mean the final product. This term includes a long process with different stages, these include: excavation for resources, production, transportation and technology materials, construction, maintenance, demolition and return to the cycle (atom). Due to the role, volume and effect of the building, it is clear that architecture has a direct responsibility in the city ecosystem. Every architectural work, regardless of its size, large or small, is connected to the earth, depends on nature in terms of resources and causes changes in the environment and affects human and non-human life. In fact, the production of materials for construction requires energy consumption, environmental damage and expenditure, and in some cases the production of materials causes diseases for people who are associated with it. Sustainable architecture, as an important branch of modern architecture, in dealing with the adverse effects of technological progress and the industrialization of societies, offers solutions to reduce the damage caused by the construction industry to the environment and offers new buildings in harmony with nature with green roofs and green materials.
