چکیده مقاله:

One of the important issues in excavation in urban environments is its effect on the adjacent building, which sometimes leads to irreparable loss of life and money. In this regard, the effect of the stiffness of the structure of the adjacent building in controlling the change of ground location caused by the pile removal is also of special importance, which has been studied less. In this article, by using PLAXIS and SAP finite element software and by applying an elastic behavior model of dough with hardening for earth materials, the interaction of excavation and its adjacent structure has been studied. Investigating the effect of the stiffness of the adjacent structure by considering two different excavation systems, with two models for the adjacent structure was studied. The first adjacent structural system is a reinforced concrete bending frame whose hardness is considered in the analysis at different stages of excavation. In the second system, the adjacent structure is equated with an elastic beam. The obtained results show the significant effect of the stiffness of the adjacent structure in controlling the change of ground location caused by excavation and the effect of excavation on the internal forces of the structure members. The use of the method of equating the structure with a resilient beam, which implies simplicity and flexibility in considering different stiffnesses for a given building weight, can be used to calculate the interaction between excavation and the adjacent structure.
