The application of MPC controller on hybrid heating system

The aim of this study is to design a smart system thattune the temperature of a room by selecting andcontrolling a hybrid heating system. In this system, heatsource have been controlled by a model predictivecontroller (MPC) system. This controller is used tocontrol the temperature of the interested indoor volumeand to minimize the operational cost. After designingand fabrication of hybrid heating system, the model ofthis prototype has been simulated. In this work, systemtemperature is controlled between ۲۰’C and ۲۵’C.Finally, it is shown that MPC can reduce the operationalcost of the system.
