چکیده مقاله:
In this research, the cylindrical absorber made ofexpanded metal sheets under impact loading hasbeen examined. Expanded metal sheets due to theirlow weight, effective collapse mechanism has ahigh energy absorption capacity. Two types ofabsorbers with different cells angle were examined.First, the absorber with cell angle α =۰ and then theabsorber with angle cell α =۹۰. Experimental Studyis done by drop Hammer device and numericalinvestigation is done by finite element ofABAQUS software. The output of device isacceleration- time Diagram which is shown byAccelerometer that is located on the picky mass.Also the output of ABAQUS software is shown byforce-displacement diagram. In this research, thenumerical and experimental study of the collapsetype, force-displacement diagrams and effectiveparameters has been investigated. Similarly, thecomparison between numerical and experimentalresults has been observed that these results arematched well with each other. From the obtainedresults it was observed that the absorber with cellangle α =۰, have symmetric collapse and had highenergy absorption capacity but the absorber withcell angle α =۹۰, had global buckling and theenergy absorption value was not suitable.
