چکیده مقاله:

In this study, finite element modeling of an impactbetween two parallel plates with high speed and underhigh pressure is simulated and the outcome is comparedwith the experimental results. The thickness of the platesand the time window of the impact is chosen such thatone dimensional wave analysis can be applied throughthe thickness of the target plate. The transverse andnormal velocities measured experimentally can be usedto calculate the shear and normal stresses using onedimensional wave equations. A satisfactory agreement isobserved between the shear stress and transverse velocityobtained from the simulation and the experimentalresults. The small root mean square error of ۰.۰۱۰۵proves the accuracy of the FEM simulation.
