A Complete Analytical Solution for Thermal Resistance of Constructal Trees Cooling a Disk

Conductive constructal trees cooling a heatgenerating disk is considered in the present research. Ageneral analytical method is applied trees with one levelof pairing. The key feature is that the complete heatgenerating area is accounted and the total heatgenerating area remains constant as the configurationschange. In contrast to some of the previous analyses inliterature, present results show that total thermalresistance of a tree with one level of pairing is not astrong function of the geometry. However, location ofthe maximum temperature changes if pairing occursvery near to the perimeter of the disk. Moreover, it isproved that a tree with one level of pairing alwaysperforms better than a similar disk with radial patterns.
