چکیده مقاله:

Since extensive genetic studies have suggested limited causes as factors that predispose a person to Alzheimer's disease, the opinion of researchers was drawn to environmental and toxic factors as risk factors for the occurrence of the disease, among which the following can be mentioned. In a cross-sectional study in China on people aged ۶۰ years and older who had never smoked, exposure to second-hand cigarette smoke was associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease, and this risk for exposure at home, more exposure was reported than at work. Animal studies and limited human studies support air pollution as an important predisposing factor for Alzheimer's disease. Increased distribution of amyloid plaques and inflammation in the olfactory bulb, hippocampus, and frontal lobes in autopsy specimens obtained from adults living in Mexico City and Monterrey, known as two polluted areas, compared to those in smaller cities with lower environmental pollution. They were residents, it was observed. Similar findings were reported in the investigations conducted on the samples obtained from children and young people.
