Electrospinning methods for creating nanofibers from polymer solutions have been known for decades and is currently the only known technique that can fabricate continuous nanofibers. Despite the enormous application potential, needle electro spun nanofibers meet difficulties in broad and advance applications in practice, due to the lack of an economic and efficient way to scale up this process. Recently, needleless electrospinning fiber producers (spinnerets), shown ability to mass production of nanofibers on large-scales. spinnerets in needleless electrospinning play essential roles in determining of characteristics of this electrospinning process. The interference among needles/nozzles has been a barrier to realize massive production of nanofibers via multi-needle electrospinning technology. In needle-less electrospinning process, the key problem is how to generate surface disturbance in the polymer solution . Today, electrospinning equipment and technological solutions, and electro spun materials are rapidly moving to commercialization production. Dedicated companies supply laboratory and industrial-scale components and apparatus for commercialize electro spun products to producing nanofiber materials, which this nonwoven-structured layers are ideal for creating novel composite materials. This paper summarizes the recent advances in the development of needleless technology which divided to stationary and rotating spinnerets. and their influences on electrospinning process efficiency, nanofiber quality, productivity and rate of production in terms of comparison types of nozzles and new developments in needleless electro spinning technology. This paper also focuses on relevant technological methods developed by research, which show perspectives for industrial scaling-up production of nano fibers and also the historical view of this process are discussed.
