چکیده مقاله:
The leading cause of non-communicable disease mortality worldwide is cardiovascular diseases. Research indicates that there is a correlation between road traffic noise and an elevated risk of stroke and mortality for individuals with coronary artery disease. Noise pollution is a noteworthy public health concern and an escalating global problem that affects millions without their awareness. Scientific research has confirmed the association between noise pollution and health problems such as heart disease, sleep issues, and stress. Individual assessments of noise exposure have the potential to enhance risk assessment and preventive measures. Nighttime noise disturbs sleep, resulting in elevated levels of stress hormones, oxidative stress, and inflammation in the body, potentially leading to cardiovascular complications. The correlation between traffic noise and cardiovascular diseases demonstrates a direct and incremental association. Long-term exposure to traffic noise is linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular events. The article highlights that future risk prediction can be enhanced by evaluating exposure to noise and light pollution, with a focus on vulnerable populations for prevention. The importance of a collaborative approach involving regulations, technology, urban planning, and public awareness to address noise pollution is emphasized. It underscores the influence on mental and social welfare, as well as the significance of incorporating noise into assessments of environmental factors such as air pollution. Addressing these constraints, enhancing both general and specialized knowledge, and fostering interdisciplinary research can help identify vital strategies to decrease mortality and lower the incidence of cardiovascular diseases.
