In this research, an Epoxy / Unidirectional E-Glass prepreg was made and the effect of processing conditions on its final properties was investigated. The prepreg was made using Anhydride cured Epoxy resin system.DSC results showed that the cure temperature range and the released reaction heat are reasonable for producing such big blades. According to these results, the onset temperature of cure would be ۱۱۰ o C. The effect of processing conditions on four essential properties of prepreg – i.e., Flow ability, Adhesion, Flexibility and Storage Time – were investigated upon changing precure time and temperature. For this reason, prepreg samples were made by precure at ۱۰۰, ۱۱۰ and ۱۲۰ o C for ۵, ۱۰ and ۲۰ minutes. The mentioned properties then were measured for each sample. After comparing whole results, the most proper condition was chosen then to produce optimum sample. The B-Stage measure tests showed at least one month storage ability at room temperature for produced prepregs.Finally, Tensile and Bending tests showed acceptable mechanical properties for the constructed composite material. The final tensile Strength for a four ply Unidirectional E-Glass/Epoxy composite was ۱۱۲۴ MPa and the modulus was ۴۹ GPa for tensile and ۲۴.۱ GPa for bending tests. According to all those results, Anhydride cured Epoxy / E-Glass prepregs could be a good candidate for wind turbine blade production.
