چکیده مقاله:
Laser cladding method (LCM) is a potent, reliable and potent and promising technique in which metal surfaces precisely are protected from mechanical properties such corrosion, wear, creep and fatigue. This study focuses on the laser processing of titanium alloys (Ti-۶Al-۴V) whose surface has been modified with TiC composites in situ. The main size of TiC particles before and after the milling process calculated by SEM was ۱۲۹ µm and ۲۵۷ nm, respectively. Also the main structure of the coating was demonstrated using SEM results in the form of dendrites and granules and observations during global formability were correlated to a needle-like martensitic dominant regions within the weld’s heat affected zone (HAZ). Due to strong bonding between the coating and Ti-۶Al-۴V substrate, no failure was observed on the coating. Notably, when the laser processing was carried out at ۲۶۰ W, it led to the generation of a homogeneous and precise TiC protective layer, highlighting the effectiveness of this specific power level.
