چکیده مقاله:
Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) and hydroxyapatite (HA) are promising materials in biomedical applications due to their unique properties. LDHs have versatile drug delivery capabilities and biocompatibility, while HA is essential for bone strength. Combining LDH and HA in a composite offers synergistic effects for various biomedical applications. This study focuses on the synthesis of LDH-HA composites through an ex-situ approach and investigates the impact of calcination on the resulting material. The LDH was synthesized via the hydrothermal method, while HA was precipitated from a precursor solution. The composite was prepared by adding HA into the LDH suspension and subjecting it to calcination at ۲۰۰°C, ۴۰۰°C, ۶۰۰°C. Characterization techniques, including XRD analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, and SEM, confirmed the presence of both LDH and HA phases in the composite material along with a stable calcium carbonate phase. The composite exhibited rod-like LDH particles coexisting with nano-hydroxyapatite at room temperature, showing potential for biomedical applications. The disappearance of LDH as the result of calcination was observed even at ۲۰۰°C.
