چکیده مقاله:

The release of wastewater treatment (WWT) has become a serious environmental issue.Meanwhile, microalgae based WWT has received great attention owing to its low cost, and environmentally friendly advantages. In this research, the WWT ability ofmicrolage was improved by cultivating Chlorella Sorokinana under different lightwavelength. At first, C. Sorokinana was cultivated under different light color includingblue (~ ۴۷۰ nm), green (~ ۵۵۰ nm), red (~ ۷۰۰ nm) and white (۴۰۰-۷۰۰ nm) and thefinal biomass was recorded. Also, the concentration of COD during ۱۰ days ofcultivation was measured. According to the results, under the blue light color, microalgae biomass improved from ۱.۱۲ g/L (white) to ۱.۲۹۶ g/L and showed the mostsignificant increase in comparison to the red color with ۱.۱۲ g/L and the green with۰.۸۷۵ g/L biomass production. Consequently, it was observed that the blue light couldalso increase COD uptake ability of the microalgae and increase the mass balance from۱۹۶.۴ to ۲۰۲ mg/g biomass. This was attributed to the greater impact of this wavelengthon microalgae metabolism. The results of this research suggested a promising andenvironmentally friendly approach to increase the biological wastewater treatment.
