چکیده مقاله:
The integration of nanotechnology into smart concrete represents a significant advancement inthe construction industry, offering multifaceted benefits ranging from enhanced structural performanceto environmental sustainability. This paper explores the environmental benefits and potentialapplications of nanotechnology-enabled smart concrete, drawing upon statistical data from recentresearch and developments. Through a comprehensive analysis, it is found that smart concreteformulations optimized through nanotechnology result in a reduction in material usage, with up to ۲۰%decrease in cement and aggregate consumption, thereby minimizing environmental impact.Additionally, the incorporation of nanomaterials such as phase-change materials and thermal insulationnanoparticles enhances energy efficiency, leading to a ۲۵% reduction in heating and cooling energyrequirements. Furthermore, the extended service life and reduced maintenance needs ofnanotechnology-enabled smart concrete structures contribute to lower material consumption and wastegeneration over time, with potential greenhouse gas emissions reductions of ۳۰%. These environmentalbenefits pave the way for the widespread adoption of nanotechnology-enabled smart concrete in variousapplications, including urban infrastructure, coastal protection, green buildings, disaster resilience, andtransportation networks. By leveraging embedded sensors and monitoring systems, nanotechnologyenabledsmart concrete offers real-time monitoring of traffic flow, structural health, and environmentalconditions, facilitating proactive maintenance and enhancing overall sustainability in infrastructuredevelopment.
