The effect of using movies on listening comprehension of English language (acase study of high school students in Fahraj city)

The present study was conducted in order to investigate the effect of using movies on thelistening comprehension of English (a case study of high school students in Fahraj city).In terms of practical purpose and in terms of implementation, this research is a semi-experimental design in the form of pre-test-post-test, which was carried out on ۳۰students of the first secondary school of Fahraj in ۱۴۰۲. The sampling method was amulti-stage cluster random sampling. The samples were selected and randomly replacedin two groups of ۱۵ experimental people and ۱۵ control people. After selecting peopleand assigning them to the control and experimental groups, the control group did notreceive any training program; But the experimental group was trained in the skill ofsaying no for ۱۰ one-hour sessions. Listening comprehension questionnaire was used tocollect research data. One-way and multi-way analysis of covariance was used to analyzethe data. The results showed that the method of using the film is effective.
