چکیده مقاله:

Since records began, Parkinson's Disease has plagued patients and their families with behavioral problems that make everyday routines and independence difficult. VR is an effective PD treatment when other methods fail. VR therapy improves fine motor skills in a stress-free setting and may be better than online physical therapy. This study sought to provide the most recent and strong evidence of modern technology against conventional therapy. This study also needs RCTs comparing VR training and conventional treatments for Parkinson's Disease (PD). PATICA and PECO selected studies, and Cochrane assessed bias risk. To analyze and integrate them, a meta-analysis used mean differences with a ۹۰% confidence interval. Among meta-analysis participants, VR-based therapy increased balance function, BBS, and ASC-B scores. Gait ability, functional independence, motor power, and quality of life did not change significantly between the experimental and control groups. Therefore, subgroup analysis showed that combination therapy affected the heterogeneity of the BBS study. A significant positive meta-regression coefficient indicated that recent research showed stronger balancing function improvements. The current study and prior research reveal that VR-based therapy may improve balance in Parkinson's disease patients more than conventional treatment. Future interventions should focus on large-scale, long-term follow-up and rigorous processes to establish their potential benefits.
