چکیده مقاله:

Food wastes could be regarded as pure waste streams and constitute a major environmental burden, such as odor emanation, vermin attraction, toxic gas emission, and groundwater contamination. However, it can be transformed into valuable organic fertilizer through composting processes. This involves converting waste materials like crop residues, urban waste, poultry droppings, and animal dung into a nutrient-rich fertilizer. Traditionally, organic matter from plants and animals has been used to maintain soil fertility and boost crop production. Using these organic fertilizers can enhance food production and soil health while reducing environmental harm. Biofertilizers will lead to socioeconomic and ecological benefits, especially soil quality contributing to human health, food quality, and environmental preservation. The feasibility of these fertilizers depends on processing and production costs, quality, environmental impact, and safety for humans and animals. Utilizing biowastes such as animal manure, sewage sludge, wood waste, and food waste for biofertilizer production is a promising approach.
