Background: The lifestyle factors can greatly influence overallhealth and well-being, including fertility. Fertility is affected byfactors such as age, nutrition, weight, exercise, and psychologicalstress. Some factors have a negative impact on fertility suchas alcohol and caffeine consumption , smoking and illicit druguse. The aim of this study is to review the role of lifestyle factorsin infertility men and women.Materials and Methods: This review was carried out by usingof different sites of internet and considering the studies whichwere published in ۲۰۱۱-۲۰۱۷ and included if they containeddata on lifestyle factors on the reproductive health.Results: Age of a man or woman is a factor among others thatcan affect fertility. With the increasing of age in men, testosteronelevels begin to decrease, Semen parameters also begin asteady decline, semen volume and motility both decrease, andmorphology may become increasingly abnormal. With the increasingof age in women, the number of oocytes is declined,menstrual cycle is shortened, chromosomal abnormalities andaneuploidy are increased. The diet rich in carbohydrates, fiber,and folate as well as fruit and vegetables correlates with improvedsemen quality. Women who take multivitamins may beless likely to experience ovulatory infertility. Other findingswill be presented in full text of paper.Conclusion: Age, nutrition, weight management, exercise, andpsychological stress, may affect fertility. The evidence suggeststhat age may play a large role in determining fertility. Thegreatest chance of success for fertility is before the age of ۳۰for women and before ۳۵ for men. Recent studies suggest thatweight plays an important role in fertility and maintaining an ideal weight may provide a way for couples to increase theirfertility.
