چکیده مقاله:

This study focused on functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) experiments to explore, model and simulate possiblelink between contextual modulation and efficient macroscopicspatialresponse coding in the visual cortex. Specifically, weaimed to predict fMRI signal basedon a computational neuralnetwork simulation. A sketch was provided, which coveredpracticalsteps to bridge the gap between mathematical modelingof single neuron responses toneuroimaging data with amesoscopic biomimetic neural network. Then implementedtheproposed biomimetic neural network to provide insightinto data processing in cortical neuralnetworks. In addition,showed that spiking frequency, entropy per spike and sparseness(asmeasures of network efficiency) are all associated withthe natural contextual modulation.
