چکیده مقاله:
Wetlands are considered to be one of the most important non-replaceable ecosystems on the planet. Salehiyeh wetland is one of the most important wetlands located near the capital in Alborz province. In addition to hosting many migratory birds every year, this wetland plays an important role in adjusting the surrounding climatic conditions, and due to the vegetation around it and the proximity of the water, it is a shelter for many animals and is considered one of the natural attractions of the environment. The main purpose of this research was to investigate the sedimentological, geochemical and environmental characteristics of this wetland along with the role of anthropogenic activities in its contamination with heavy elements. Soil texture studies showed that the predominant soil texture in the wetland is silty and silty clay. Electrical conductivity of the soil in the eastern and northeastern parts of the wetland, sulfate in the east and calcium carbonate in the western and southwestern parts of the wetland are more than other parts. Total water hardness was also higher in the eastern and northeastern parts of the wetland than in other parts. Examination of heavy metals showed the greater impact of human activities than geogenetic effects in causing wetland pollution. Dispersion of high amounts of Fe, Ti, Va, Al, Br and Co throughout the lagoon environment, bismuth in the western and southwestern parts, chromium and zinc in the center, copper in the east, manganese in the east and Ni in the northwest with the activities of factories and industries, agriculture, road transportation and exploitation of mines were related. The modified pollution degree index showed the high pollution degree of the lagoon with Cr, Mg, Va, Ba, zinc and Co. The enrichment index was also very high for vanadium, Ba, Mn, P, Y. In the accumulation land index, the values of the mentioned elements were higher than the standard value, which indicates the pollution of the wetland environment.
