The effect of office automation on improving managers’ decision-making

Office automation can play a significant and beneficial role in managers’ decision-making. It seems to have the potential to improve the precision, accuracy, timeliness and economical managers decision-making. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of office automation on improving managers’ decision-making (Case study: Education office of Tehran city-region ۸). The current research in terms of the method is a correlation research study. The statistical population includes ۱۵۰ managers and their deputies in the mentioned office. The study population has been determined ۱۰۸ people using the Morgan table to answer the questionnaire. Hypothesis testing has been conducted using the Spearman correlation. Correlation test results showed that the use of office automation systems has a significant positive relationship with manager’s precision, accuracy, timeliness, and economical decision-making.
