Currently, the migration of a fog service (FC) is considered to be an efficient approach for reducing the distance between the system and the user. Multiple simulators are available for analyzing the behavior and performance of applications in an FC environment. However, it is not feasible to evaluate service migration approaches in order to promote mobility. Four algorithms, namely Genetic Algorithm (GA), Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO), Coot Bird Natural Life Model (COOT), and Computer Science (CS), are used to analyze resource allocation in IoT devices. The novelty of this study resides in the capacity of the proposed algorithms to effectively decrease both the overall transmission time and energy usage. The proposed models demonstrated satisfactory performance in minimizing the makespan, energy consumption, and transmission time. GA and CS exhibited the most exceptional performance in this aspect. Subsequent research endeavors can propose a more streamlined framework for reducing latency and optimizing energy usage.
