Investigating the rights of working children in iran’s Lawsand Regulations

The phenomenon of child labor is a serious challenge tochildren's rights in Iran. Iranian laws generally prohibit child labor;however, legal loopholes and ineffective enforcement of these lawshave perpetuated this issue. Poverty, lack of family awareness, and theabsence of equal educational opportunities are among the primaryreasons driving children into labor. This research aims to examineexisting laws, identify challenges, and propose recommendations forimproving the legal status of working children. The findings indicatethat addressing this phenomenon requires a precise definition of childlabor, strengthening oversight of law enforcement, supporting familieswith working children, and increasing public awareness. Byimplementing these measures, it is possible to improve the situation ofworking children and ensure their rights.
