چکیده مقاله:
Background and Objective: In the ۲۱st century, humanity haswitnessed remarkable progress in advancing key human developmentindicators. However, new conflicts and wars initiated by certain statesand international organizations continue to arise around the world, leading to explicit violations of international humanitarian law. Oneof the most blatant breaches of international law in recent decades isthe continuous military attacks by Israeli forces on the residential areaof Gaza since October ۷th, despite Israel being a signatory to the fourGeneva Conventions.Methodology: The research methodology in this article is descriptive-analytical, with data collection carried out through a library-basedapproach. Documents, books, and articles were reviewed to informthe study. Initially, international approaches to child rights protectionin armed conflicts are examined descriptively, followed by ananalytical discussion offering solutions to resolve such conflicts.Findings: Considering the ongoing conflicts, the primary damagecaused by these hostilities, regardless of their motives, disproportionately affects children. In this unfortunate scenario, thefundamental rights of all individuals, especially children—such as theright to life, liberty, education, and more—are gravely threatened. This stands in stark contrast to the foundations of freedom, justice, and global peace, which demand that all human beings be grantedequal and inalienable rights. Conclusion: Based on the research, children are the most vulnerablegroup in both internal and external conflicts. In order to protectchildren, serious actions must be taken by governments andinternational organizations. From the onset of armed conflicts to theirresolution, humanitarian law must ensure the implementation ofprotective mechanisms for children.
