Building structures in seismic-prone regions require thorough evaluation to identify potentialweaknesses. This study explores the Efficiency of wavelet transform in detecting earthquake-induceddamage. An ۱۱-story special reinforced concrete moment frame with high ductility was modeled inOpenSees. The structure was subjected to three different earthquakes, and the modal responses of thestructure were extracted before and after the events. Wavelet transform analysis was then applied tothe extracted mode shapes. The results reveal the capability of wavelet transform in localizing (orquantifying the extent of) damage within the structure caused by the earthquake. This approach offersa promising avenue for non-invasive damage assessment in seismic regions..
