EUROPEAN TSUNAMI RISK SERVICE (ETRiS):PROVIDING DATA, DATA PRODUCTS, SOFTWARE, ANDSERVICES FOR TSUNAMI RISK ASSESSMENT

This paper introduces the European Tsunami Risk Service (ETRiS) and addresses its mission tocollect, standardize, and disseminate data, data products, software, and services (DDSS) related totsunami risk analysis. ETRiS is a part of the Thematic Core Service Tsunami and is integrated into theData Portal of the European Plate Observing System (EPOS), which has the mission to ensure that thedata and services are adhering to the FAIR principles to be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, andReusable by end users. The web platform of ETRiS, https://eurotsunamirisk.org/, provides virtualaccess to Data, Data products, Software, and Services (DDSS) for tsunami vulnerability and riskcomponents, which are essential features for probabilistic tsunami risk analysis (PTRA). These DDSSinclude interactive maps, data products such as fragility and vulnerability curves, as well as openaccess software tools (the Tsunami Risk Modeller’s Toolkit) for deriving fragility and vulnerabilitycurves.
